In the Natural and Cultural history museum, The Bastei, the roots of our culture are tangible. Wandering among the mysterious ruins visitors experience an authentic historical sensation. A grid of light leads you done paths set in the past where time overlaps and is woven together. An introduction helps position you in the surrounding landscape.

By touching selected age-old stones, stories spring to life in different, surprising ways. The stories play out over the stones and inform about the material heritage.  The stories connect to bring the landscape, archaeology and history to light. Personal, intimate stories make you realise that people from all ages always build on the past and live on. In moment visitors feel literally connected to the place.
