Graphic designer

We’re looking for a graphic designer with the following background/skills:

- 2-5 years of work experience, preferably also in a spatial application
- at least a HBO education in a creative direction (art academy or similar)
- excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
- excellent knowledge of relevant software within Adobe Creative Cloud, at least: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- good knowledge MS office
- you are organized, calm and communicative strong
- available for 32-38 hours a week

It is of course an advantage if you have a strong interest in exhibitions, architecture and design.

What will your daily tasks be?

- You are responsible for creating high-quality graphic designs that fit within the identity of our studio and within the assignment of our client.
- To this end, you immerse yourself in the content of a subject/collection and you integrate the graphic components (titles, texts, patterns, images, illustrations, specials) into the overall plan in a logical and inviting manner.
- Determining the right atmosphere and 'look and feel' is of great importance here. The graphic designs must be in line with the subject and the target group(s).
- Within each exhibition project you monitor the technical points of attention such as readability, integration into the space, use of suitable materials and techniques.
- You are the contact person for clients with regard to images, texts and other content that they must provide for the realization of the graphic design.
- You ensure that work is carried out according to a schedule that includes all steps from the delivery of content by the client to the placement of the graphic components in an exhibition.
- In addition to the design of the graphical components within your projects, you are also responsible for making corrections, the final layout and preparing for production.

Project-based:

- You work on several projects at the same time.
- You keep an independent overview of the various components within one project and the progress of the individual projects.
- You work efficiently and structured.
- You identify bottlenecks that delay the progress of the projects and you propose solutions.
- You work closely with the spatial designer and/or project leader within the OPERA team for each project. You also have direct contact with our clients and the implementing parties.
